A while we had the idea here that Raisa and I might be goto Hawaii for a holiday.... well not now, mostly because it's JUST TOO DAMM EXPENSIVE!
I mean it was going to cost us almost $10 000 just to FLY there!!!!! Much less stay in somewhere other than the park bench, and eat, and see stuff etc etc.
So instead the two of us are off to ROME!
Leaving Sept 26th for 12 days, side trips to Pompeii, Naples and Florence and the Vatican while we're there, and 2 days in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on the way back.
All for a mere $2350 each - all inclusive, with breakfast each day.
Much Much cheaper than Hawaii then... PLUS, because I'm a social studies teacher and we're gong to Pompeii, apparently the edu dept will let me write off the cost of any entry tickets, wear and tear on cameras/videos and the purchase of relevant souvenirs... errr... class teaching aids that I happen to buy on my tax!!!
