It works well... if your HDD doesn't have a bad sector right where you decide to split the active partition. Acronis Disk Director destroyed my laptop partition and all my data gone.
Well okay so my data isn't really gone, it's taking around 4 days to scan and recover the files, but it is inconvenient nonetheless.
So, note to others. Partition Magic 8 is able to work around bad sectors, Acronis Disk Director isn't. Should have stuck with Partition Magic 8. All this because I wanted to install a Linux Distro as a second OS on my Windows based laptop. Oh well... at least now I get to re-partition and start from a clean system again. :)
