But, I was talking with a male friend yesterday and he made the fair point that when it comes to dating etc, men have it harder, having to do the approaching etc. In fact, he spent a long time explaining to me the various theories he has regarding this subject - and it made me realise that men think about and worry about dating just as much as women do, and they also have the harder task of generally havng to make the first move, risking rejection/embarassment or just the horrible realisation they don't like the girl as much as they thought they did ;-)
But, I still agree men have it easier on a lot of points - and why is it that men earn more and yet it's more expensive to exist as a woman? My boyfriend recently came with me on a trip to Boots where I bought stuff like shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, foundation, mascara, face wipes etc; at the till he sucked in the air through his teeth (irritating me immensely in the process ;-)) and said, 'Wow I'm glad I'm not a woman!'
