My post disappeared! Grrrrrrrrrr..............
Long story short, symlcbrd.sys in services cause, it belongs to Norton Antivirus and is called on by Symantec Core Service. It's now dust and all is well.
It had no readily identifiable tags to say what it belonged to so any version of SymNRT that was run wouldn't have a clue about it.
Symantec programmers should be first against the wall when the revolution comes!
