for the past few nights we've had the comet "mcnaught" in the sky at sunset in Perth!!!
You can see it quite clearly with the naked eye - showing the head and the tail. All up its about 3cm long in the sky - which adds up to some millions of km in reality.
Looks even better with binoculars/telescope of course!
