There is about as much unseen in Evolution as there is in Creation.

That's what makes it a theory. Even as an incomplete explanation of the present state of animal, vegetal and lesser lifeform species, it's the best developed one, given the elements discovered.
Creation is about Catholic, Christian (in general), Jewish and Muslim faith. Which is apart from what it's considered strict scientific proof. But in schools, you get taught History under scientific principles (for example, no Bible stories), even if it's harder to define it as 'science', it uses the same principles of investigation (hypothesis, "experimentation" through looking for historical records or live people accounts, and results). Geology is usually taught in Geography class, and also under scientific precepts, with the age of earth in milliards of years and everything. Chemistry and Physics go under the same principles. 'Evolution of the species' is a part of Biology, which is, in turn, yet another science. If it's decided that any religious credo, like species created under the Christian god's making, what does impede to modify the teaching curricula to include any other Christian faith evidence in History, Geography or Chemistry? Why 'evolution of the species' only?
In my opinion, either change everything (which would make school completely under one religion, which isn't the one of the whole population, and with freedom of faith that would be impossible), or change nothing. For the Christian version of things, you'd rather go to Sunday school.
By the way, what would happen if there are Sintoist or Hinduist students in a class where religious precepts are taught?
