I think the guy's hilarious.
He reminds me of a 9-year-old in a chat room constantly trying to convince everyone she's 18; we all kdamn well now better, but she'll never admit it. But, unlike the girl, he's using legal slight of hand to sell a false image of his product. And the side-splitter is that people are actually bidding on it! Maybe they like the image, despite knowing better...
