what (if anything) do you collect?
i'm asking this on a few forums; feeling VERY nosey
i've been collecting unusual cat figurines for the last 2-3 years. they average at 1 inch in height but i have one huge teracotta cat and some tall marble/wooden ones and some stone coyotes
i loves them, some are hand painted (really long tails and stubby legs) in polka dots / stripes etc.
One is cheesy gold glitter (but sooooo pretty)
Hand carved wooden ones in unusual shapes
a china cat in oriental handpaint (not as unusual but pretty)
some tiny baby blue and chrome cats in unusual positions
little african marble cats that look like chess pieces and have a very egyptian feel to them (pink, blue, beige, black...)
In the same african style but TALL and with leopard print paint pattern in pink dots...
funny looking cartoon dude in a basket
a wooden cat that is curled up asleep and looks like a turd from a distance
a weird fat thing in grey with blue stripes - looks like a glazed cartoon
my coyotes (very feline looking, to the extent that my mam swears they are cats) its a set and they all have 'scratches and bite marks' painted on heheheh
a cone shaped cat that is actually a door stop (loves)
a really frikkin BLINDINGLY bright tall cat in yellow/green/orange/pink
a big green polka dot cat with its arse in the air
similar to the last one, but smaller.... and black
a wooden cat on wheels - with a pull along string (!)
couple of plastic cats - normal looking but cute
i also have some ordinary looking cats but they are just pretty so i though 'yeah'
have more, cant think of em all... my shelf looks funky
as a kid i collected these at different stages:
stickers
fancies (fancy papers)
soaps in weird shapes (butterflies etc, not interesting blobs of used soap :P)
puppy in my pocket
polly pocket (the shame)
my little pony (hey, im a girl...)
keyrings (still love a good keyring!)
kinder egg toys
mc donalds toys
my cat collection is my most enduring i would have to say...
