im not a football fan and i'm glad it's over. i dont mind the world cup football fever that takes over during the cup time... hey, some people love it. but i'm just not into it...
that said, when i was a kid one year... '94 i think... the neighbours all threw a world cup street party for our street, the kids all got irish flags painted on their faces by my mum (my whole face was a flag) - there was food cooked by various people.... i think the local shop sponsored some bottles of lemonade and adults broughttheir own booze... the most community spirited thing ever for that areaa - was great...
