It was a gift and I didn't ask for it. I think it is really rabbit fur not cat fur but it looks like rabbit anyway, I don't know of any cats who have such fur. And we have some rabbit furs that my mom's grandma slaughtered so I do have comparative material.
And rabbits are for eating and using their fur, otherwise why'd they be breeding at this pace, have tasty meat and pretty furs.
Still I wore it once, and that was for a stage play.
But the year in Moscow, I had a simple padded coat down to the floor in length and very very very thick because it was bought in Russia too... Well what can I say, it was fine in warmth till -42 centigrade but at that temperature, some of the decorative material on the outside already just broke up - plastic and synthetic materials freeze broken at those temperatures, the long synthetic fibers just loose their flexibility and break.
And I think the rest of the coat would've broken up too at a temperature not far below that, though it didn't get that cold.
And what are you left with below that point? Yep, rabbits.
