Oh that part is quite easy.
Almost all laptops have plastic lids on the bottom. Some are even clearly labeled like "HDD" or "harddisk", some can be identified simply by their shape and size. Usually unscrewing 2 screws is enough to lift the lid off, and you'll see the harddrive straight away. Disconnect 1 cable and there you go; harddrive removed. Plug a new one in and put the lid back on.
