Agreed completely. I've been lagerly disappointed with Torrid style for several years now. Torrid will, occasionally, make something that I find cute, unique and stylish (I have, if memory serves, 3 Torrid items in my wardrobe), but most of the time, I find their clothes overpriced and cheaply made, not worth the money for the cheap fabric and construction. The thing is, while I love Domino Dollhouse's style, I find that many of their clothing items are made for fat women with smaller waists, in comparison to their hips/butt and bust/shoulders area. I find this to be true of a lot of independent clothing designers who specialize in retro styles. As a fat gal with a big waist and tum, and generally a bigger/wider torso area in comparison to the rest of me, this is a disappointing feature of DD's clothes. I'd love to find an independent plus size retro style designer who makes clothes to fit body shapes that are more like mine, but I know that wasn't the style in the '40s and '50s. Smaller waists and the curvy /hourglass frame were considered most desirable, which is why most retro styles today emulate that shape. Leaving us gals with big tums and wider torsos kind of in the dust.
