I'm enjoying your how-to posts, Paul. You meeniontd line colouring in photoshop which is what I currently use previously I've used coloured lines imported from Illustrator, but occasionally have to colour lines in photoshop by, like as you mention there, selecting a colour range, and creating a mask, etc. Do you have any other tips from what you learnt doing it in photoshop?
