Hi, Mel. Thanks for tracking me down! I never cease to be amzead at the number of people that remember me playing on the old Kicking Mule albums. Thanks. Re Dickie's Blues #2. Yes there was a Dickie's Blues in the beginning. It was written by Dick Jack, the fellow who was the primary force behind the 1st Regina Folk Festival and Regina Guild of Folk Music, which is how I became involved in acoustic music over forty years ago. I remember hearing several people playing the tune at the time. I never learned that tune, but the opening riff of the first couple of bars of DB#2 is similar to how the original one started (melodically, if not rhythmically). So when I wrote DB#2 a few years later I decided to pay homage to the original. There's no sequel (ie DBIII), but maybe after almost forty years it's time for one. Bob
