I think my favorite<
I think my favorite elxapme of very misleading DTC advertising was for Paxil's indication for social phobia. This enraged me during the focus group for the commercial, and my husband had to drag me out of the hotel room before I could tell the marketing firm what I really thought.Their "scare" tactics - "Are you afraid of speaking in front of an audience?" Are you nervous when you have to go into a room of people you don't know? How many people, especially those who LIKE to go to Primary Care doctors, would actually say NO to those questions? No many. Then Paxil turns out to be such a bad drug, and social phobia seems such a weak indication.Keep up the great postings!Dr. BK
