Holy doodle dandy! I had no idea you lot down there were that much *more* reealutgd than we are.Sheesh, around here, nobody needs a business license or kitchen inspection to sell their homegrown/made goods at the farmer's market. We can butcher our own livestock here in the yard for our own use. (For others, the inspector nods his head and the local abbatoir does it up.)But we aren't dealing with a psychotic government wanting to implement animal microchipping.I also get the impression your socialized health care plans have some very different undercurrents than what ours actually amounts to. I don't know what it is, but it feels like looking at the difference between national and international socialism. The xenophobic, inward-looking focus of your culture is much more scary to me than my own. Our intrusions are annoying, but mitigated by multiculturalism and pluralism, I think.
