Posted on Democracy is a government ruled by the pepole. It is when pepole elected politicians to represent them so they still have a voice in government. Modern democracy began in Ancient Athens. The House of Bourbon is a royal family that currently rules Spain and once ruled other areas including Southern Italy and most notable France. The Bourbons were absolute rulers who oppressed the pepole and were eventually overthrown revolution twice in France. It represented the old order and the first revolution in which they were overthrown was the French Revolution which is a key moment in history.
