I am against illegal immigration, but this takes it way too far. The way I see it, I'm all for legal immigrants. You want to live here? Fine. There's a process to go through. It's not a tough process. It just takes a bit, due to bureaucracy. However, if you decide to be an illegal immigrant, go ahead. Find a place to live. Find a job. Live a life. If INS decides to deport you, that's tough. I won't stop you from making a comfortable life here, but neither will I help you if the Feds decide to come after you for not going through the legal processes.
Someone being an illegal immigrant doesn't bother me. I'm simply against them getting benefits from the government, like Welfare and such. You want benefits from the country? Go through the legal processes to become one of the country. I don't think illegal immigrants should vote, either, which I'm pretty sure they can't right now. Plus, I'm against the idea of counting illegal immigrants in census, which states like California and Texas are pushing forward.
I'm pretty much saying that illegal immigrants are OK in my book as long as they don't try to get the benefits of legal citizens.
"Stupidity is no excuse!"
