Oh, I don't know, Michael. Both Egypt and Jordan are very concerned about what's going on in the Pal areas next to them, Egypt beuacse of Hamas' connection with the Muslim Brotherhood opposition in Egypt and King Abdullah beuacse he is a BedouinHashemite ruling over a population that is almost 80% Palestinian (Quaraysh). Both countries, especially Jordan have made various overtures recently about this very thing.Remember that according to Jordanian law, all pals in Judea and Samaria are legally Jordanian citizens...and that Abdullah's father, King Hussein, made an offer in 1969 to Yitzhak Rabin to handle the Pal problem in Judea and Samaria and incorporate them into Jordan in exchange for a tiny 10 mile withdrawal from the `67 lines which would have left Israel in strategic control of the entire area.Stupidly and sadly,Rabin bobbled the ball, with the result that at the next Arab League meeting, Arafat and the PLO were confirmed as `the sole representatives of the Palestinian people'...and we all know where that led. There's no place for a second Arab Palestinian state unless Israel magically disappears..and even the Arabs, some of them, are finally beginning to realize it.
