A.N.Other AdultSite
A.N.Other AdultSite dot com!Just thought youe2€™d like to see thise2€a6Maureen Jayce know all about this one as we were e-mailing them with our epxreiences pretty much e2€˜as it happenede2€™.We posted this on one of our blogs, but if you missed it, ite2€™s worth a read!Especially the e2€˜help deske2€™ bit, which was no help at all!We joined another adult dating site! Not because wee2€™re leaving Sexy Ads or because wee2€™re dischuffed or disillusioned on here, but mainly for e2€˜researche2€™&as it was a UK only site, maybe the chance of a bit more e2€˜local actione2€™!What a rubbish experience it was too!We wont give the name of the site, lets just call them A.N.Other AdultSite dot com.Initial feelings were pretty good & there was a large amount of stuff on how it was a free to join site & would remain a free to join site etc, etc.So we wrote our ad & sorted out a nickname & password, loaded the ad & posted three non identifiable pics, two of which were XXX ones, the main profile pic was an anonymous EJ stockings shot.Wee2€™d been on there less than an hour when the first three messages came in, two from a single guys (naturally!) & one from a couple who seemed interesting! We clicked on view members profile for this couple & still liked what we read, but clicking view photos had us directed straight to the buy a membership pagee2€a6you couldne2€™t see ANY pics as a standard member (not like SA!).So we then clicked on reply to member (the couple being full members) & again got straight back to the buy a membership page (not like SA!).On the members profile, there was a quick message box (similar sort of thing to SAe2€™s profile comments.)We wrote a message & hit post & again were directed straight back to the buy a membership page (not like SA!).So we gave up trying to reply to this couple & navigated to the forumse2€a6familiar ground for us, you would thinke2€a6so did we!We went for the Newbies forum & tried to post in the Introduce Yourselves thread & went straight back to the buy a membership page. We couldne2€™t believe this & thought we must have screwed it up somewhere & tried to post again, & again, straight to the buy a membership page (not like SA!).In the Newbies forum there was a link to e2€˜Get a Mentore2€™ where an experienced site member will contact you & help guide you round the site features. We clicked the link &e2€a6.straight back to the buy a membership page!We couldne2€™t believe this, on SA there are plenty of experienced members & forum mods (like us!) that will help out a newbie for FREE.In the meanwhile our inbox was filling up, again, mostly with single guys, but another couple had contacted us twice & seemed really keen, from their profile they seemed rather nice, although we couldne2€™t see any photos of them (they had 30 odd posted, too)So we edited our ad & tacked a rider on the end, simply stating we had only just joined, didne2€™t know what was what & how things worked & we were having trouble contacting the people who had responded to our ad & could someone tell us how to contact them or did we HAVE to buy a membership to do so.We promptly received a very curt e-mail to our private e-mail account telling us our ad had been pulled because we were attempting to get people to contact us with hidden or disguised contact details & we were advertising that you couldne2€™t make contact with anyone without buying a membership. We drafted a pretty stiff reply pointing out we were doing no such thing as trying to get people to contact us with hidden details & was the fact that you couldne2€™t contact anyone on the site without buying a membership was on our ad out there FOR ALL TO SEE who happened across it, their big problem? It seemed to be so!We also pointed out the trouble wee2€™d had trying to do ANYTHING on the site, even getting a little help in finding out what we could & couldne2€™t do!We went back on the site to find someone to send this e-mail to, there was no staff members you could contact (not like SA!) & we had to raise a ticket on the help desk. Two boxes appeared, e2€˜Low Prioritye2€™ & e2€˜Normal Prioritye2€™. Further searching revealed a e2€˜High Prioritye2€™ response to an enquiry, but you had to send a code number via an SMS text messagee2€a6.at a charge of c2a31.50!Yep, a quid & a half just to get your enquiry dealt with in a timely fashion (Definitely not like SA!)29 hours later we got a reply. 29 hours! Thate2€™s a high priority response, apparently. So did we get a personal reply from a staff member explaining things & showing any concern at the difficulties we had run into?NO! (not like SA!)We got a standard two line reply again pointing out our ad had peen pulled, that we were trying to get people to provide hidden contact details etc, etc, & that was against the site rules & referring us to the site Te2€™s & Ce2€™s.We had been over that site backwards, both together & each of us separately, just in case one or the other of us was being stupid & missing something. We went back to the site & searched for the Te2€™s & Ce2€™s. Right at the bottom of the front page, in tiny eight point pale blue lettering on a slightly darker blue ground, was the e2€˜Click here for full terms & conditionse2€™.We clicked here & again, in tiny pale blue eight point lettering on a slightly darker blue ground, making it really hard to read, was a page of closely typed leaglese. We didne2€™t bother going any further! We e-mailed Maureen with our epxreiences & asked permission to write them up for you to have a look at. While we didne2€™t want to go rubbishing the competition, we felt it would be good for both standard & VIP members on here to have a read of.Wee2€™re both standard & VIP members on here with our two profiles so we know exactly what you can do with each membership.Wee2€™re also pretty experienced on navigating around an adult contact site, & we ran into all sorts of difficulty, if that was the first site wee2€™d ever joined & we were new to the whole internet adult contact thing we would have been most miffed at the frustration caused by not being able to do much except load an ad & some photose2€a6a limit of five to standard members, by the way. (not like SA!).Oh, we couldne2€™t see our own XXX pics either, clicking on one had us straight to the buy a membership page!!!!A free' site, huh?Bollocks!Mike e2€˜n EJ
