I write horror, so nltarauly most of the flash fiction I read is also in that genre. From the readers perspective, I want shorter pieces to frighten me through the entire read. It's what I strive for in my own stories.Great advice for anyone just starting to write flash fiction. I was like you several years ago when I tried it for the first time. I think writing flash fiction is an essential part of learning the writing craft and helps to improves your ability to write longer pieces.
