Hi, Gwen! You're right. Some Okinawans resent our bases on their soil, while otrehs welcome the job opportunities the bases create. It's been my experience that they don't hold grudges against the Americans and will go out of their way to assist and help. Personally, I don't see the need for all those bases over there. Can't we consolidate to just one, thus saving money but still having a presence in the Pacific?
