CURRENT MESSAGE

Re: So, now that it's the 23rd...
Hooray, the 23rd was indeed heeps better for me in terms of....well, everything.

I actually *did* stuff.

- I e-mailed two replies. One having to do with one of my China trips and another telling someone I couldn't go to some other trip, due to my *other* China trip already being in that period.

- I put a letter in the mail which was part of what I had to do for the China mail I mentioned replying for above. But this part is so I get a dvd of the rehearsal + concert weekend we did a while ago. It's to be used to promote ourselves there. From what I understand, it has already helped us in getting to play some concerts there. :-)

- I got an e-mail back from the company I applied for earlier this week, asking me if I could call them. Unfortunately, it was already late when I read it, so I'll have to try and call them tomorrow.

- I played some more of the Dink Smallwood game thingie, too. (which partly was the reason I found the job mail so late, another one being it was in my junk folder at first)
I managed to gain some more skills and experience. Dink now moved to live with his aunt. Oh and he slew his aunt's husband, as he was beating her up. When you kill him, she first is upset, but soon after the game goes on as if nothing has happened and the aunt doesn't need any psychiatric help to cope with the trauma whatsoever. And it's only a noble act to slay the evil husband up to a point. I mean, the violence made me laugh, the way it was presented.

- Oh and I even printed out a job offering I got in my mail 1 or 2 days ago. Some company had replied to my online CV. Not completely sure if I'll reply, though. They ask for someone with a driver's license, which I don't have. Plus it's far away, taking me some 50 minutes by bus. Still, on the plus side, it's *them* asking me for a change, instead of the usual me-asking-company routine. Might still not be a sure sign of getting the job if I respond, but the initial interest from them is there. But I'll just see if the other job goes alright or not. I'll use this one as a back-up option.
The print-out btw was for my dad to have a look at it. My mom said I probably shouldn't bother because of the driving thingie, but maybe my dad would have other reasons or advice. Still, he wasn't much help so far, when he opened his eyes in between his sleeps on the sofa. ;-)

- I also cleared up some old mails in my inbox. Don't worry, there's still plenty left. ;-)

- And tonight, I had my big band rehearsal. Afterwards was a sort of get together to honour some people who have/had been part of the band for a long time. I talked with someone whose profession is goldsmith. He asked me if I could have a look at some (probably) simple webpage related stuff. I said okay, and so we exchanged mail addies. I said I'll be happy to have a look at it, so he'll send me some things. It's not the end of the world if I can't help, but if I can then that would be nice. I mean, he's even willing to pay me for it! Which took me by surprise, to be honest. I mean, it's nice to get something in return, but I'm not someone who knows what to ask. Perhaps I'm just modest, but I honestly don't want to ask too much for what might be fairly simple. I have the same weakness with job interviews. As soon as they ask how much I want to make, I'm lost. Perhaps it's because I don't have much experience in job wages and what's high or low yet?
Still, with two expensive trips to China ahead, I guess any bit of money I can get right now will help. (and get me to hopefully pay back my debts of "studying" eventually too)

- Oh yes, and I ate some winegums. :-D

As for what actually happened here on the 23rd at 14:47 exactly, I'm not sure. I believe it would probably be doing some of the e-mail related thingies I mentioned earlier. ;-)

There are FOUR brain cells!
