This is a most outrageous and sncokihg offense to women worldwide who are still struggling to achieve gender equality, and the respect that men have, and take for granted. May the UN remove Iran from this Commission .its presence there is an INSULT to all people who support equal human rights for women. I recommend the book Half the Sky by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn (winners of the Pulitzer Prize) to those who want to learn more about the status of women in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
