A recent study dissusced on Elle Canada found that using diverse models can actually benefit brands. The study results showed that women increased their purchase intentions by 200% when the models in ad campaigns were their size, by 175% when the models in ad campaigns were their age, and by 150% when the models in ad campaigns were their ethnicity (in the case of black women). So why doesn't the lingerie industry use more diverse models again?
