In a manner of spnekiag, yes it does get recycled. However it is not what most would consider energy.For example You plant a tree. It grows. It provides you with fruit. You eat the fruit. You use the nutrients from the fruit as energy for your body. Normally that would have fallen to the ground and rotted into the soil. There it would be reabsorbed as nutrients for the tree. Thats psuedo recycling. Years later, The the tree dies, you use the tree as fuel in a car hundreds of thousands of years later. That is not recycling it. That is using stored energy.So i'd say its tough to say for sure, but consider that nature does not waste its resources. Thus it would have had to have recycled at some point.
