I just happened upon
I just happened upon your faboceok page and blog today. I really appreciate all the helpful posts and the medical background held by Abbie! My little girl Samantha has Down Syndrome and is almost 13 mos now. Reading your story of Noah's birthday brought back so many emotions for me as it very closely mirrored our experience. I cried as I read through it. I remember during my pregnancy (which was my third) my husband and I watched many of our dear friends and church family go through life changing trials. And I told my husband I was worried that the Lord had never allowed me to go through that kind of faith testing trial and I wondered when it would happen. And how would I respond-would my faith be enough? Little did I know the answer to those questions would be a few months later as our daughter arrived Aug 9, 2011. We too had no idea that she had Down Syndrome until her birthday when she showed those same characteristics. My husband broke down that day but I held strong because we didn't know for sure. They send out the testing and 2 days later they confirmed she had a mosaic form-but its all the same to us. The week or two to follow were very emotional and gut wrenching for me as I processed and prayed, but I'm happy to say my faith in Jesus IS big enough. He has carried us through this so beautifully and we are so grateful that he picked us to have this angel we named Sam! I was just want to say thanks for sharing your story. It does something to the heart to know other families are walking this out with us. On a side note, I also wanted to ask when you started with a speech and occupational therapist for Noah? We currently only have Sam in PT and early intervention but sounds like she's old enough for the others. Blessings to your family!
