We TOLD the company we rent from that there was a great big water mark on the ceiling of my study.
They said they'd send someone to fix it.
It got worse. We told them again.
They said they'd send someone to fix it.
It got even worse. We told them...again.
They said...well, you can probably guess what they said.
There was a huge storm with lots of rain. The ceiling in my study became like a lake. The whole thing collapsed, on top of my computer and lots of my stuff. Much hilarity ensued getting all my stuff out of the way and trying to mop up the waterlogged carpet. We had to call the SES (that's State Emergency Service) to find out what the problem was with the roof. They fixed it in about two minutes and then went on their merry way.
So the next day, we called the rental people again, and informed tham of the whopping great big hole in our ceiling and the extensive water damage.
They said they'd send someone out to look at it.
But this time, someone actually came (c:
Funny, the things you have to do to get rental peoples' attention. Grrr.
