I think that it's better to fly to Bologna,because if you fly to Rome there are at least three or four hours to arirve in Bologna(you have to arirve in Rome and take the train Frecciarossa,that's the faster)From Bologna you can arirve in Cento(a town near Renazzo) by bus,then I'm sure that from Cento to Renazzo there's another bus,because Cento and Renazzo are close.If you want there is the web site of ATC,the bus Company of Bologna,where you can see the bus connection between Bologna's airport and Cento.That's the web page of the trip planner:you can select:from: Bologna important points airport or aeroporto arrivi to : Cento stop CENTO AUTOSTAZIONE Maybe January 2012 is too far and the timetable isn't available now,but I'm sure that in October or November will be availableI'm sorry but I can't help you with the hotel,because I've never been in RenazzoHope my English will be comprehensible!PS:from Cento to Renazzo you can also take a taxi,because there are just 6 or 7 kilometers between the two cities
