An accessible, useufl website or blog tends towards an individualized instruction methodology (each student engaging and exploring on his/her own). So, what are we engendering in students, and suggesting for teachers, with the purchase of technology. When I have student's use the SMART Board it is useufl, and interesting but it necessarily isn't engaging the rest of the class. So, it doesn't lead to the type of hands-on work students must do, but the SMART Board is good for direct instruction. I think you're right. Here's a question for you: what is a piece of technology every student has? In other words, how can I use student's mobile phones in the classroom? Thanks for your comment Merianna.
