Guys, he explained him self quit well No need to bash his proefciincy. I too have the Canon Rebel XS, and have been experiencing the same sort of problem. To clear things up, I'm shooting on fully manual and I have a good Idea of what I'm doing when it comes to photography. Now, I can have the shutter speed on 1/2000 (or anything), any aperture value, and any ISO speed, and any JPEG size, and the result is the same. On continuous shooting, it takes pictures at about one every 4 second. I've scoured my camera for options that could be slowing it down, I've reformatted my class 6 SDHC card, I've fiddled with everything and can't seem to fix it. One thing that makes no sense aswell is that while shooting in RAW, it is significantly faster than shooting in JPEG.However, you could try reformatting your card.
