I would recommend just rfendiee your locations from scratch and see if this issue will reappear. Old versions had an issue when you could end up saving one extra cell cached from previous location. Recent updates had this fixed. If after redefining you will still see same alien cell, it might be that this particular cell tower in google database has not been updated with true coordinates.. And btw next update will include kind of noise filtering' option, when you can setup that app should see at least N cells in a row from defined location to trigger in and N alien cells in a row to trigger out.. I hope it will make it more stable
