Great advice. I love their site and blog as well. It's full of great inoaomftirn for family travel.I'm not an expert but we did DC last Spring. We missed both the White House tour (too late) and the Capitol tour. We arrived too late for the Capitol tour. My advice is get there early and plan enough time for check in as there will be security line.One tour I highly recommended and I think your kid will be able to manage is DC By Foot tour. It's tip-base tour so you tip at the end of the tour. The guy was very fun and informative. The walk wasn't bad as we stopped often to listen to his info. Have fun in DC. It's one of our favorite trip (and our cheapest vacation so far)
