This is one of my favorite fanicfs of all time! I was riveted to my seat for hours the first time I read it. I am really impressed by the manipulation of time in the telling of the story to the reader. It is just so well done and really informs the story and makes it interesting to read. The emotions of the characters are also really developed and work well with the way the story is told. Within that, the writing is also very impressive: when we learned about subtext in writing class the first thing that popped into my head was the scene from this story (SPOILER!) towards the end when Chakotay wants Janeway to eat breakfast and they argue about it. Terrific, terrific story; lot's of kudos! (maybe consider converting it from fanfic to real life/original characters and publishing it!)
