What is interesting
What is interesting about both these idnnceits is the seeming deliberate and premeditated nature of the assaults by these rednecks. If the man who went after Breen started his verbal assualt upon first pulling into the parking lot, he must have been sent there on a mission, as how would he have known who Breen was or what he was doing? This reminds me of comparable idnnceits among two of our recent First Selectman. The first occurred under Delpha Very when I personally called her after a rough night with the troublemakers at a town budget meeting and requested that she have a constable at the next meeting. Delpha did, and the constable did the trick, making her presence known to the troublemakers, who behaved themselves so others could participate without intimidation. The other incident occurred under First Selectman Margie Wholean as described above. After Jerry Ralston loudly and repeatedly interrupted a PZC meeting, engaging the PZC Chair in a shouting match, the PZC unanimously voted to request a constable at their next meeting. This request came from a town board, not a private citizen. And Margie Wholean denied the request, as she opposed the PZC's role of oversight of the Academy field request, and lacked the common sense and decency that Delpha showed.
