Years ago, when I was a kid, I worked and was going to cgelloe in Washington, DC.I was surprised to find out that my and other DC apartment buildings were owned by senators and congressmen as investments. They used front groups such as management or holding companies to shield them and these assests were very lucrative, sort after and were easily sold once the the owners were voted out of left the DC area.Once we cgelloe kids learned this, we used to joke about who had the best congressional Slumlords.
