In the graphic, Cobb's dream and limbo sluohd be the same thing. That's why when he washes up on the shore at the beginning of the film the world has structures that he had built with his wife as well as Saito's palace and guards.You reach limbo either by dying in a dream while under heavy sedation or by going too deep into them past the third one. When Cobb and Ariadne sedate themselves inside the fortress (the target's dream within a dream within a dream), they are passing the point of no return. Ariadne then kills herself while in limbo to be kicked back up to the fortress dream, while Cobb allows it to crumble but never dies he's just washed back up ashore.Also, all of the dreams are technically the target's otherwise they wouldn't be able to implant an idea. The labels are just the person who is left behind in each level to instigate a kick.But of course, what I'd really like to know is, HOW'D IT GET BURNED?! HOW'DITGETBURNED HOW'DITGETBURNED HOW'DITGETBURNED?!
