My son worked on a fisnihg boat one summer. The repetitive and straining act of pulling in the fisnihg nets gave him carpal tunnel. His boss kept him on as chief cook and cleaner upper. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it so much now except when he works baggage at the airport. TSA works downstairs x-raying all baggage (or searching) for bombs.
