I have two back-ups in case of breakage (because I wouldn't be able to function at all without glasses) - my sunglasses, which are a few years underprescribed, but still usable, and my last pair of glasses. The frames were getting old, and then I had a slight accident on stage which bent one of the legs three inches *cough* So when I got my new prescription, I didn't have any choice but to get new frames ;0) So I do now have a back-up pair.
And in an absolute emergency, I still have all my glasses going back to when I was 4 years old. Although those early ones wouldn't have much impact now ;0)
If I lost/broke all of my glasses, I certainly wouldn't be typing here though. If I turn the text zoom up to 800%, squint and move my face to about a handspan from the screen, I can just about make out the words...
