Nicole JinnA point of clarification is that coupntimg integrals of probability distributions *are* of interest, yet the likelihood function is *not* to be regarded as a probability because it does *not* satisfy the probability axioms. In addition, I have *not* encountered any cases myself where it is of interest to compute an integral of a likelihood function, *as opposed to* an integral of a probability distribution.
