It seems to me that the first half should have a form of "posse" in it. ("Si hoc legere posses" perhaps? "Posse" is an irregular verb, and I can't recall the forms at the moment.) The second half should be, I think, "nimiam eruditionem habueras" (you have had an excessive education.) "Nimiam" instead of "nimium" because because it is used as an adjective ("excessive") and not an adverb ("excessively"), and because "eruditio" is feminine. If you used the verb form of educate to say "You have been educated excessively," you would have to use the passive pluperfect form of "erudire" ("nimium eruditus eras")...I think.
*Please use the above wisely since it may or may not be true. All verb forms may not be correct either.
