Right, he never should have left the ttheaer. I think I made that point.But why did anyone think this should leave the ttheaer and enter the realm of journalism, whether it was Daisey, Glass, or any of the other media outlets?He was booked by these outlets as a participant. He didn't just wander in and say, Give me a platform. Did they have to hire an actor who has a stage show about a topical subject to speak as an authority? Of course not, and had they done fact-checking before the show, they would have known that he was lying, but they didn't. This American Life, to their credit, are copping to their part in not upholding their standards and I think we all need to constantly question who we're getting our information from.This is a bigger problem than just an actor wanting attention, TAL not doing its homework, or CNN doing some lazy booking.People are waiting to have information handed to them instead of looking for it.
