Yes, Tara anemia is very coommn. I used to work for an OB/GYN clinic and pregnant women had initial labs done to see if they were anemic. If they were we prescribed them Iron. I would have to tell them there is a possibility that the iron could cause constipation but all they needed to do is increase their fiber and make sure to stay hydrated. This seemed to help. I think it is important to have regular blood work done.
