I can't imagine what it would be like to live so close to such a disaster. The worse we get up here are nasty dehabilitating blizzards *cough* but those happen every year and usually only lead to widespread power outages and a few car accidents because people drive too fast on snowy roads. Nothing close to the devestation we saw with Katrina, which has a surreal quality to it. I didn't watch it on the television as I don't believe in television at all, but the images I saw on the internet I will probably never forget.
How can god allow this to happen?
