Oops! I forgot to metonin that I have started reading the Cost of Discipleship by the German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer during the midst of Nazi rule. I've barely started reading it, and I have a profound admiration for his love and devotion for Jesus. He defied the Nazis, and paid the ultimate price for it when he was executed at the concentration camp at Flossenburg on April 9, 1945 . . . just a few day before it was liberated by Allied forces. Witnesses state that he went to the gallows with admirable calmness and dignity. Without a doubt, he was committed in his love for Jesus.
