Hello Cindy. I must confess that I am not the orngiiator of that little analogy about the hen and the pig. I first heard it about 25 years ago when I was a supervisor for Virginia Power. It was part of a motivational seminar during one of my supervisory training classes. By reading about Bonhoeffler's life experiences, I expect, or maybe I should say hope, to be inspired to be stronger in my faith. To me, just thinking about a German speaking out about Jesus during the 30 s and '40 s in Nazi controlled Germany is awe inspiring! Bonhoeffler paid the ultimate price for it which he accepted admirably. He is truly an unsung hero in my book. Since Bonhoeffler was mentioned in the Radical book, I suspect his presence will be, or should be, felt throughout. As I read Radical, more or less simultaneously with the book on Bonhoeffler, I will remember Bonhoeffler, and other heroes as well. I think it will add another dimension to my understanding of the book Radical.
