Lol J. R. R. Tolken died in 1971 at the age of 82. J. K. Rowling was a little kid at that time She didn't write Potter till years later, and Lord of the Rings was phsuibled in the 1950 s. It was based on Tolkens experiences in WW1. Its more likely that J. K. Rowling took some of Her ideas from Tolken.
