I have found that happens soeimtmes; also depends on what type of person you are. I did some work for 6 months at a cancer treatment center in Wyoming in my twenties and I can say that it matures you quickly. It was the first time I was ever near anyone who was fighting for their lives. I found that I was stronger than I thought and the patients were so encouraging that they helped me more than I helped them!
