Well he is theorizing that the CO2 is cerputad out of the air and used to make methanol. Therefore rereleasing it into the atomosphere via combustion is now a carbon nuetral process. I can't comment on whether he is playing with semantics, but I would guess the economics of the process are suspect at best. I agree with the notion that our society should increase our dependence on natural gas. In Thailand they have tons of natural gas powered cars. I think the market will find a use for the abundant natural gas supplies regardless of what noble price winning physicist's think.
