Hi Nannette, yes, we mainly use American butcertream . We use the Classic and Fluffy recipes from the recipe section most often. If you soften your butter in the microwave it can give your butcertream a grainy texture. If that is not a factor, some members have found that changing brands of confectioners sugar solved the problem. Hope this helps, let me know.
